Motherhood and Childhood is the name of the new program of the VIVA Foundation, aimed at helping pregnant women from Artsakh. The period of urgent response to the events in Artsakh is ending, when it was necessary to meet, support, and help here and now. Now the Fund is moving on to medium- and long-term support programs for internally displaced persons. And all these programs are aimed at providing assistance, first of all, to people from vulnerable, sensitive groups.
Currently, VIVA has already launched 5 programs to help Artsakh residents: for patients with type 1 diabetes, for people with chronic diseases and oncology, for palliative patients and for young families who expect child in the near future.
We have already provided support fo several families. With pride and joy we consider these kids our children, VIVA’s children, we will monitor their growth and development. After all, children are the future, our future. They help to survive all the difficulties that we face, encourage, inspire optimism and the understanding that life goes on, whatever happens.

- Women who were forced to move from Artsakh to Armenia
- Women over 18 years old
- Pregnant women and those who will become pregnant before June 1, 2024
As part of medical support, program participants will be provided with: free consultations with VIVA’s medical experts to monitor the health and development of the child, prenatal screenings in the 1st and 2nd trimesters of pregnancy, as well as additional laboratory tests in case of suspected fetal pathology. In addition, future moms will be able to join an online educational lectures on pregnancy, breastfeeding, vaccination and the basics care for a newborn. VIVA’s experts will help women throughout their pregnancy in support chats.
And when the baby is born, young parents will receive all the basic necessities for baby. A crib and stroller, bed linen, diapers for the first month of a child’s life, clothes, towels, swaddling cloths, hygiene products for mother and baby.
